Your EMOTIONAL challenge is practicing Less Stress and More Calm by simply adding more positive thoughts in your life. Changing your thoughts produces immediate changes in your brain. Calm thoughts lead to a calm mind/body response, see a fascinating video clip.
A) Write down positive thoughts three times or more each week using any of the topics below:
Write something you’re looking forward to in the next 24 hours. Just anticipating something you’re looking forward to can be as satisfying as actually experiencing it.
Write one fortunate thing that happened during the day as you look back on the day’s events.
Write one thing someone did recently that inspired you – a stranger or someone you know.
B) Mini Mindfulness is being aware of the moment you are in now; it’s an effective way to calm your mind. Get started on a mini mindfulness exercise.
BENEFITS: Bringing more positive emotions into your life reduces tension and has a powerful impact on your health. As you write and re-read your positive thoughts, you will build strength, resilience and your immune system. Whereas negative thoughts and fear deplete your ability to fight illness, influence your mood and make you vulnerable to anxiety, fatigue, loss of sleep and more.
HOW TO SCORE IT:
1 point each DAY you spend 15+ minutes practicing positive thoughts or mindfulness.
